Good Questions

Frequently asked

Are your eggs washed or unwashed?

Unwashed by default. Unwashed eggs keep their natural protective coating (the bloom) and can be stored on the counter for several weeks. If you prefer washed eggs, just ask in your order notes — washed eggs should be refrigerated right away.

How long do farm eggs last?

Unwashed and on the counter: 2–3 weeks easily. Refrigerated: 3 months or more. If you’re ever unsure, the float test works — a fresh egg sinks and lies flat in a bowl of water.

How do I order sourdough or cookies?

We bake in small batches on bake days. Reserve through the contact form (or watch the blog for bake-day announcements) — order by Wednesday evening, pick up Friday.

Where do I pick up my order?

At the farm on Pinkham Creek Road in Rexford — full directions come with your order confirmation. Local delivery in the Rexford–Eureka area is also available.

How can I pay?

Whatever is easiest: cash, check, or Venmo at pickup or delivery — or ask for a secure online payment link and pay by card ahead of time.

Are your products organic?

We grow naturally — no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers — and bake with certified-organic flour, but as a small farmstead we are not USDA certified organic.

Do you ship?

Our homemade foods are sold directly to Montana customers only, per the Montana Local Food Choice Act, and plant starts are farm pickup only. Our upcoming Chicken Herb Blend will be the exception — it will ship anywhere in the U.S.

Can I visit the farm?

Order pickups happen at the farm stand, and we love saying hello. For a longer visit or a look at the flock, mention it in your order notes and we’ll find a time.
